Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage, also known as ‘Champissage’ in India, has been practised for over four thousand years. Babies are introduced to massage from birth, and as they grow they share the ritual with other family members as a way of maintaining good health and tradition. As well as many physical benefits, Indian Head Massage can promote a feeling of peace, calm and balance within the body and spirit. This therapy has been extended to include not just the head but face, neck, shoulders, back and arms. It is believed to be effective in the treatment or relief of headaches and migraines, stress, eye strain, insomnia and aches/stiffness around the neck, shoulder and facial areas.
