Hopi Ear Candles

Hopi ear candles also known as thermo-auricular therapy, originated from a native American Indian tribe called the Hopis (meaning ‘peaceful people’) and is a relaxing treatment using special candles for the ear. The candles are cotton tubes impregnated with beeswax and sage, St. John’s wort, camomile and betacarotene. The ear candle is lit at one end and the other end is painlessly rested in the ear.

The gentle effect of the smouldering candle causes a light suction action (a chimney effect) which draws impurities gently up and out of the ear. The movement of the flame creates tiny vibrations in the air flow that gently massage the ear drum. The candle generates a pleasant crackling sound and a warm, comfortable feeling. The process takes about 15 minutes in each ear.

The gentle warmth massages and clears the inner ear and the sinuses, creating a soothing and relaxing effect and a feeling of wellbeing. The treatment is detoxifying, and is still working in the body up to 48 hours after.

Hopi Ear Candles are especially beneficial for: Hay fever, Headache, Migraine, Stress, Tinnitus, Sinusitis, Labyrinthitis, Itchy Ears, Excessive Ear Wax, Snoring, Rhinitis and feeling of dampness within the inner ear, nose and throat. Ear candles are also highly beneficial to those who suffer ear problems when flying or for divers. Hopi Ear Candle treatments are followed by a relaxing fifteen minute face massage.
